Reminder: Lyris service being retired this month

All users should be receiving list messages via Office 365 Distribution Groups.

As reported in a previous Early Bird, Information Technology Services has been hard at work converting the University’s mailing lists to Office 365 Distribution Groups as part of an ongoing initiative to upgrade and modernize the University’s mailing-list services. As the final step of this initiative, ITS will retire the old mailing-list service, Lyris, on Sept. 17.

There should be no impact for users who were previously receiving email through a Lyris list since they should already be receiving messages via Office 365 instead. List owners and managers have been contacted by ITS to ensure that any existing mailing lists are working in the Office 365 environment. Anyone who needs a new mailing list should check the ITS Knowledgebase for information about Office 365 Distribution Groups, including how to create, manage or join them.
