Lyris service being retired in September

ITS has been assisting all Lyris list owners to migrate email-distribution lists to Office 365.

In an ongoing initiative to upgrade and modernize the University’s mailing-list services, Information Technology Services has been hard at work converting the University’s mailing lists to Office 365 Distribution Groups. With these migrations nearing completion, ITS is ready to schedule the retirement of the old mailing-list service, Lyris, on Sept. 17.

Most mailing lists have already been migrated to the Office 365 environment, and all remaining lists will be fully functional before Lyris is retired. Thus, there should be no impact for anyone currently receiving emails through a Lyris list other than noticing that emails received from a list now end in “@msudenver.edu” instead of “@lists.msudenver.edu.” Anyone who needs a new mailing list should check the ITS Knowledgebase for information about Office 365 Distribution Groups, including how to create, manage or join them.
