HR implements electronic records process in Banner

This streamlined process alleviates the need to submit paper forms and will likely result in fewer data-entry errors.

Close up of hands on a laptop keyboard nearby a notebook and pen.The Human Resources Department has implemented the Electronic Personnel Action Form, or ePAF, a process in Banner that empowers departments with the ability to make changes electronically to employee records.

This streamlined process alleviates the need to submit paper forms that require multiple signatures and will likely result in fewer data-entry errors. The ePAF system will also speed up the process as transactions can be entered and tracked via the web.

Another big change is that the Student Employment Spreadsheet SEF 2.0 will no longer be used for student positions as they can now be submitted via ePAF.

For more information on ePAF or to sign up for one of the upcoming training sessions, visit the ePAF website.

The ePAF User Guide and instructions for each ePAF are available on this site, but if you have any questions please contact Angie Roberts, senior HR program manager, or Ramona Morris, student-employee program manager.

Keep in mind that after Thursday, paper action forms will no longer be processed. This includes:

  • Hires, transfers, rehires for all employee classifications
  • Changes to the FOAPAL, hourly rate, job title and supervisor
  • Secondary jobs, salary supplements, student-service stipends

Register for ePAF training today.
