Close up of fingers typing on a laptop.National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM), now in its 17th year, is a collaborative effort between government and various industries to ensure that every American has the resources they need to stay safe and secure online. This year’s theme, “Do Your Part. #BeCyberSmart,” and key message, “If you connect it, protect it,” encourage individuals and organizations to protect their part of cyberspace because if everyone does their part, our interconnected world will be safer and more resilient for everyone.

In support of NCSAM, Information Technology Services will share helpful cybersecurity tips in the Early Bird throughout October. Topics will include safely working remotely, safeguarding your data, securing your devices, using MFA (multifactor authentication) and accessing the cybersecurity EverFi course that all Metropolitan State University of Denver employees are required to take yearly.

For general information about NCSAM and other helpful cybersecurity resources, please visit StaySafeOnline.org. If you have questions about cybersecurity or other technology-related topics, please contact the ITS Service Desk at 303-352-7548, submit a ticket through support.msudenver.edu or email support@msudenver.edu from your MSU Denver email account.
