The Denver Public Library hosts new “Back to School With MSU Denver” learning series.

The “Back to School With MSU Denver” series dives into interesting and timely topics through engaging, one-hour learning sessions led by MSU Denver’s outstanding educators. Register for the first two installments today, and help spread the word about these great learning opportunities.

Back to School With MSU Denver: Three Little Pigs and ... Engineering?

Led by Janelle Johnson, Ph.D., associate professor, Education, this interactive workshop explores designing and implementing hands-on engineering activities for young children. Ideal for Pre-K-12 teachers and parents who might feel intimidated by engineering, the session focuses on fun and accessible ways to develop children’s spatial-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Back to School With MSU Denver: What Are They Thinking? A Cross-Cultural Look at Men’s Mental Health

Led by Steven M. Rissman, N.D., associate professor, Department of Health Professions, a men’s health and integrative-health expert, this session will explore and discuss the challenges and solutions to understanding men’s mental health. The event is open to teens and adults and is designed to help participants better interpret and understand men’s psycho-emotional well-being.
