Additional health and safety training now available

New user-friendly tool provides more information on COVID-19 and reiterates expectations for those approved to be on campus.

With the fall semester underway and a limited number of Metropolitan State University of Denver community members back on campus, the Roadrunners Safe Return Committee has launched an additional health and safety training tool.  

The training reiterates the health and safety protocols shared with the campus community throughout the summer and provides more detailed information on COVID-19.

“The user-friendly presentation is a useful tool for those wanting to brush up on their coronavirus knowledge and restates expectations for those on campus this semester,” said Leone Dick, chief of staff to the vice president for Administration and leader of the Roadrunners Safe Return Committee. “It’s one more way that we’re trying to make sure people feel informed and safe.”  

Dick said that providing training is an element in the Colorado Department of Higher Education’s recommendations for colleges and universities. MSU Denver has worked diligently to meet those standards.

Dick also expressed her gratitude for Sarah Harman, executive director, Strategic Initiatives, and Ned Hoewisch, office-systems manager, for their support in developing the tool.
