The Metropolitan State University of Denver faculty brain trust reaches almost every corner of the academic spectrum, and we are always proud to see Roadrunners sharing their knowledge. Each month, the Early Bird highlights a few faculty members who have served as subject-matter experts on timely news topics – providing dynamic perspectives on critical issues.

Here’s a sampling from May:

Cynthia Erickson, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychology, interviewed with Scripps Media on May 6 about how to combat the stress and potential fatigue of working remotely, particularly the effects of videoconferencing on cortisol production.

Sam Ng, Ph.D., professor of meteorology, was featured in the Denver Post on May 18 explaining the science behind a cloudy, stunning sunset.

Christina Huber, Ph.D., professor of economics, interviewed with Denver7 on May 12 about how people impacted by COVID-19 are supplementing their income with secondary jobs.
