A message for DACA recipients and Dreamers
President Davidson and higher education leaders urge Colorado congressional delegation to provide permanent protection for undocumented students.
April 14, 2020
President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., and fellow higher education leaders are urging Colorado lawmakers to provide permanent protections for DACA recipients and Dreamers. Together with a number of institutions across the state, Davidson authored a letter noting the value DACA recipients and Dreamers bring to our campuses, community and country.
"As higher education leaders, we firmly believe in investing in the success of all students, regardless of immigration status, and we urge you to enact permanent legislative protection for Dreamers and to ensure that the administration does not arrest, detain, or deport these individuals following an adverse Supreme Court decision," Davidson and fellow education leaders noted. "As Members of Congress representing Colorado, we respectfully ask that you join us in supporting DACA recipients during this challenging time."
