Don’t forget to register for this March 10 event celebrating the longstanding impact of the MSU Denver program.

For three decades, Immigrant Services has provided the University’s undocumented, immigrant, refugee and asylee students with academic guidance, social support and access to crucial resources.
Mark your calendar for Tuesday, March 10, to partake in an evening that will bring together past and present students from the Immigrant Services program, faculty and staff, as well as honor individuals whose contributions have helped shape what the program is today.
You’ll also hear from Denver Mayor Michael B. Hancock, whose office has positioned Denver as a model to other cities as a partner and protector of immigrant communities through the Denver Immigrant Legal Services Fund.
Festivities will include live music by MSU Denver’s mariachi ensemble, refreshments, and Mexican and Syrian food from the Comal Heritage Food Incubator, a restaurant that trains immigrants and refugees from countries such as Mexico, El Salvador, Syria, Iraq and Ethiopia in the culinary arts.
To commemorate the program’s tremendous impact, donations are being collected in honor of Patti J. Lohman, founder of the Immigrant Services Program, to support the MSU Denver Dreamer Student Programming fund. You’re welcome to contribute a gift on the donation page. Be sure to select “Dreamer student programming” in the designation drop-down menu and include “Gift is in honor of Patti J. Lohman” in the comments. There will also be a donation table set up at the event where you can contribute.
