Rowdy giving thumbs up.Thursday was a monumental day for Metropolitan State University of Denver. Never has the University’s annual Day of Giving come at a better time, and never has our University community stepped up for the Student Emergency Fund in such a big way.

As our communities, country and world struggle with the impact of COVID-19, 714 donors came together to raise $155,559 for our students. More than $88,000 was donated directly to the Student Emergency Fund and the rest to other University student groups, programs and initiatives. These funds will support MSU Denver students who are dealing with unanticipated and/or catastrophic life events that might otherwise cause them to stop or pause the pursuit of their educational goals.

If you would like to share some words of encouragement with students experiencing tough times, please submit your videos via email to Katie Mnichowicz, assistant director of alumni giving, at kmnichow@msudenver.edu.

We know these are unprecedented times, and yet the response from our community has been consistent and exemplary of what it means to be a Roadrunner. Thank you for your continued support of our outstanding students.
