Dreamer Network Fundraiser

The Metropolitan State University of Denver Dreamer Network, in collaboration with the Latino/a Faculty and Staff Association, is hosting a fundraiser at Cerveceria Colorado to raise money for undocumented-student scholarships. As the event is the day before Valentine’s Day, the theme is Love Your Neighbor* Your Black, Brown, Immigrant, Disabled, LGBTQ, Fully Human Neighbor. 

Cerveceria Colorado will donate 20% of all beer sales that evening to Dreamer scholarships at MSU Denver. The event will include live music and food for purchase, T-shirts, buttons and raffle prizes.

Planet in Peril

The Planet in Peril event is a call to action around climate-crisis activism. The free event will include a short film screening, music, panel discussion, networking opportunities and a debate with Colorado U.S. Senate candidates Erik Underwood, Diana Bray, Lorena Garcia, Andrew Romanoff, Stephany Rose Spaulding, Trish Zornio, Michelle Ferrigno Warren, Critter Milton and Dave Goldfischer.

Mariachi performance.Viva Southwest Mariachi Festival Workshop and Showcase

The MSU Denver Department of Music and the Latino Cultural Arts Center of Colorado proudly present the 2020 Viva Southwest Mariachi Festival Workshop and Showcase. The event provides workshops for students of all ages, and tickets for the evening concert are available to the public for $15 through the King Center Box Office at 303-556-2296.

Dialogues event: Civility Online

Interested in having meaningful conversation on challenging topics? Join the Dialogues Program for Civility Online. The goal of dialogue is not to debate but to bring together people with different perspectives and experiences to engage more deeply about difficult subjects. The conversation will focus on how we interact with others online and the impacts of internet conflict.

Faculty and Staff Appreciation Night at the Theatre

MSU Denver faculty and staff are welcome to enjoy a special performance of “Chicago” by Fred Ebb, Bob Fosse and John Kander. Admission to the event is free with the donation of a non-perishable food item. All donations will help stock the Roadrunner Food Pantry.
