Run with Us and support students facing food insecurity with a gift to the Roadrunner Food Pantry.

#RoadrunnerTuesday is a special time of year when Roadrunners worldwide join one another to fight hunger at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Today, you can fill a student’s plate when you make a gift to the Roadrunner Food Pantry.

In a Universitywide survey from fall 2019, 44% of our students reported being food insecure in the previous 30 days – meaning they would skip meals because they were low on funds or weren’t consuming enough quality food. During the 2019-20 academic year, over 400 new students registered to use the food pantry, and since March the demand for aid has only increased.

While the food pantry’s doors are closed, students who reach out for support can receive an electronic gift card to supplement their trips to the grocery store for food and toiletries. So far, over 600 gift cards have been distributed to 400 students, but there is still a tremendous need. Your support has never been more critical to MSU Denver students’ well-being than it is right now.

Make a gift today and become a Social Media Ambassador by spreading the word about #RoadrunnerTuesday on your social-media accounts. Share official content and create posts as a call to action to your followers. Every ambassador will receive a free T-shirt and have a chance to win a prize pack.

Being a student is hard. It’s even harder when you don’t know where your next meal is coming from. Together, we can reach our goal of raising $6,000 in 24 hours with your gift to the Roadrunner Food Pantry on #RoadrunnerTuesday.
