November 16, 2020

Students walking past Roadrunner Food Pantry.A 2018 Metropolitan State University of Denver survey found that 17% of 871 students interviewed  were experiencing homelessness and that 70% did not have basic needs secured. Understanding that the COVID-19 pandemic has put further strain on the Roadrunner community, MSU Denver is once again participating in National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week. The initiative highlights available resources for students and informs the public about how to help alleviate hunger and homelessness in their communities.

The Student Care Center is available to help students in need, especially during these unprecedented times. The Care Center team can assist students in addressing food and housing insecurity and any other barriers that may be inhibiting them from reaching their academic goals. Students are invited to participate in the following events and can reach out to the team directly for holistic support year-round.
