President Davidson joins board of Colorado Concern

The organization is devoted to investing in and promoting a pro-business environment through the political process.

Janine Davidson, Ph.D.President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., was recently named to the board of directors for Colorado Concern. The statewide CEO-based organization is devoted to investing in and promoting a pro-business environment through the political process. Davidson joins a group of distinguished leaders who are highly regarded for their personal and professional accomplishments in business and public service. 

“It’s an honor to represent MSU Denver and the higher-ed community in this new role,” Davidson said.

In a shared statement, Colorado Concern Chair L. Roger Hutson and Chair-Elect Stanton Dodge added that Colorado Concern has built an unparalleled coalition of leaders to tackle the toughest issues of the day. They also expressed pride in how Colorado businesses have come together to meet COVID-19 head-on. 

“We mobilized the community to help gather truckloads of PPE in the early days of the pandemic, promoted legislation to help business succeed, built a statewide coalition to assess and report on our state’s infrastructure needs in a first-in-class report to Congress, fought to preserve ballot integrity and helped raise money to protect our most vulnerable individuals and businesses,” said Hutson. “The leaders at Colorado Concern have been driving much-needed change, and it will be an honor to work with these exceptional leaders.”

“As we look toward the future of our great state and of this outstanding community of leaders, I know we can come together as Coloradans – first and foremost – to build a robust Colorado economy epitomized by strong job growth that helps all Coloradans improve their lives,” added Dodge. “I look forward to building on our legacy of impact and especially look forward to working with this all-star team of new board members.”

Other new appointees include:

  • David Farahi, chief operating officer, Monarch Casino & Resort, president of the Colorado Gaming Association, noted Colorado business leader under 40
  • Andrew Feinstein, chief executive officer and managing partner, Exdo Development, innovative RiNo Art District developer and influential community leader
  • Norm Franke, regional president, Alpine Bank, prominent Colorado banking professional and sought-out community leader
  • Alice Jackson, president, Xcel Energy - Colorado, formerly of Occidental Petroleum, and active community leader
  • Paul Washington, market director, JLL, and former executive director of the Denver Office of Economic Development
