Ring in 2020 with new University policies and procedures
Review these governance and operational policies that became effective in 2019.

Metropolitan State University of Denver’s Policy Advisory Council had a busy 2019. The council advanced a number of new and revised policies, which underwent thorough Universitywide review before they were presented to the president or Board of Trustees for approval.
The following policies were approved and went into effect during 2019:
Board of Trustees’ Governance Policies
- Academic Policies (new)
- Discrimination, Sexual Misconduct and Retaliation (revised)
- Faculty Employment Handbook Committee (new)
- Freedom of Expression (new)
- Honorary Degrees (revised)
- Policy and Procedure Enactment (new)
- Shared Governance Statement (revised)
- University Staff Government (new)
President’s Operational Policies
- Administrator Leave (revised)
- Course Waitlist (revised)
- Data Classification (revised)
- Facilities Use (new)
- Faculty Employment Handbook (revised)
- Faculty Leave (revised)
- Political Activity and Lobbying (new)
- Student Code of Conduct (revised)
