Meet the new Senior Human Resources Partners

Partners will serve as consultants to MSU Denver faculty and staff members and leadership on a wide range of workplace topics.

Exterior of Jordan Student Success Building.The Metropolitan State University of Denver Human Resources team is restructuring to improve strategy and to help meet the Pillar V goal of the 2030 Strategic Plan.

Through this restructuring, HR has established Senior Human Resources Partners who will serve as consultants to MSU Denver faculty and staff members and leadership on a wide range of HR-related matters.

Human Resources is happy to announce the senior partners and the areas they support:

  • Carlos Alcala: Student Affairs
  • Amy Hamik: Academic Affairs – College of Letters, Arts and Sciences; School of Hospitality; and the Provost’s Office
  • Tanya Rogowsky: Academic Affairs – College of Health and Applied Sciences, School of Education and College of Business
  • Sophia Montano: University Advancement, Athletics, Legal, University Marketing and Communications, Strategy and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion
  • Liz Wellington – Administrative Branch

Employees are invited to connect with the partners for talent management, culture-building, coaching, employee relations, performance management, policy interpretation and more.

The HR team looks forward to collaborating with all campus partners to foster an engaged, inclusive and supportive workplace.

Additionally, the office is implementing a new system that will automate HR services to enhance support to the University community. Stay tuned for more information.
