Join fellow Roadrunners in the fight against hunger and food insecurity by dropping off nonperishable food and drinks or a grocery story gift card during the Roadrunner Food Pantry Donation Drive and Open House Sept. 24-Oct.1. Your contribution will provide all Metropolitan State University of Denver students with access to nutritional food in times of need.
According to a 2019 survey, more than 40% of MSU Denver students reported experiencing food insecurity within the previous 30 days. The number of students seeking food and food resources has increased significantly during the pandemic, and the need has not subsided. In the first three weeks of this semester, the Roadrunner Food Pantry has served 490 students, including walk-ins, the Welcome Week Resource Fair and students who visited the SECORCares Mobile Market.
Stop by the Roadrunner Food Pantry in Tivoli Room 262, between noon and 4 p.m. during Homecoming to drop off your donation or get information about additional student-support resources. Together, we can ensure that no Roadrunner goes hungry, freeing them up to reimagine a future where anything is possible.
Contact Natassa Christides or Miguel Huerta for more information about the Roadrunner Food Pantry Donation Drive and Open House.
