Celebrate Homecoming with the Alumni Association

Register today for the Women of MSU Denver panel discussion and networking event, the Roadrunner 5K and the Alumni Award Luncheon.

The Metropolitan State University of Denver Alumni Association is proud to present several events throughout Roadrunners Rise: Homecoming 2021 from Sept. 27 to Oct. 2. Join us for as many events as possible – we can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Women of MSU Denver | Panel Discussion and Networking

Celebrate the launch of the Women of MSU Denver Alumni Network by registering to join us for a panel discussion and networking event co-hosted by the MSU Denver Alumni Association and Pivot2Power.

The Women of MSU Denver Alumni Network seeks to provide a space for all Roadrunner alumni identifying as female or nonbinary to receive the professional support they need to succeed. The group will offer inclusive networking, engagement and leadership-development opportunities to empower women to navigate their careers confidently.

The discussion will be moderated by MSU Denver alumna Rebecca Reid ’18, followed by a networking reception with wine, beer and food from Konjo Catering, owned by Fetien Gebre-Michael ’14, and Nu Food, owned by Francesca Smith ’15.

Featured speakers include Ashley Dimond, director of strategy with Stonebridge Cos.; Janine Davidson, Ph.D., president of MSU Denver; Katherine Smith Dedrick, lawyer, author and speaker; and Francesca Smith, co-owner/founder of Nu Foods.

Roadrunners 5K

Runners, joggers and walkers of all ages and abilities are invited to lace up their sneakers and tackle the Auraria Campus racecourse during the annual Roadrunners 5K on Oct. 2. A free fun run for kids ages 12 and under will follow the conclusion of the main race.

This year’s event includes a virtual race option, allowing participants to complete a 5K route of their choice elsewhere on the same day. In addition, all registrants will receive a Roadrunners 5K T-shirt and one entry into a prize drawing. Proceeds directly benefit the MSU Denver Men’s and Women’s Cross Country programs.

2021 Alumni Awards Luncheon

Register today for the 2021 Alumni Awards Luncheon, celebrating the amazing work of our 10 Under 10 award winners, the Alumni Volunteer of the Year, the Alumni Philanthropist of the Year, the Champion of the Year and the Distinguished Alumni of the Year. For those who cannot attend in person, the event will also be available on Zoom.

All attendees are invited to join us at the Tivoli Brewing Co. immediately following the luncheon for Mug Club Happy Hour from 2-4 p.m.
