MSU Denver mask mandate

The University requires masking indoors for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals.

Aerial image of Auraria Campus; As a reminder, Metropolitan State University of Denver requires masking indoors for vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals per the following:

  • Masks should cover the nose and mouth; bandannas and gaiters are not acceptable substitutes.
  • Face shields will only be permitted as an alternative face covering when medical documentation from a licensed physician is submitted. These exceptions are managed by the Access Center located in the Plaza Building, suite 122.
  • Masks are not required outdoors but may be advised in large group settings.
  • Vaccinated individualsmay remove masks indoors only when at least 6 feet away from other individuals (e.g., a professor teaching 6 feet from students; in an office cubicle with a minimum of 6 feet of distance to others; or when in a private office, with or without the door open).
  • All individuals may briefly unmask when actively eating or drinking; however, when indoors, unvaccinated individuals should find a location away from others to eat.

Additionally, all Roadrunners must complete the Required Daily Health Assessment before coming to campus or conducting off-campus University business. Roadrunners must also adhere to Required Health Protocols when on campus or when conducting off-campus University business.
