Attend the MSU Denver Advocacy Forum on Hispanic/Latina/o/x Local and National Priorities.
By Michele McKinney
April 5, 2021
Metropolitan State University of Denver serves the largest number of Hispanic/Latina/o/x students of any university in Colorado. It also is proud to educate the most Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals and undocumented students in the state.
As the most affordable four-year institution on the Front Range and one that believes every student deserves an opportunity to pursue higher education, MSU Denver is a clear choice for all students. The University is hard at work to erase Colorado’s racial attainment gaps and diversify the state’s workforce.
As a federally designated Hispanic-Serving Institution, we are hosting a forum to educate the community about the local and national priorities for Hispanic/Latina/o/x college students.
In collaboration with the MSU Denver Champions Program, this inaugural event will highlight what it means for MSU Denver to be an HSI as well as the HSI committee’s advocacy efforts from the 26th Annual Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities’ Capitol Forum on Hispanic Higher Education, held April 13-14.
