The TRiO High School Upward Bound Summer Academic Program will be held virtually from June 21 to July 30. The college-prep program is designed to support underresourced and first-generation college-bound high school students. The goal is to help students build the skills and motivation necessary to complete high school and to enter and succeed in their postsecondary education.

TRiO Upward Bound is seeking faculty and community instructors to plan and teach hands-on, project-based, rigorous coursework to ninth- through 12th-grade students. These classes are taught two days per week, twice per day, for six weeks. In addition, on June 28, each instructor will lead their class in a 30-minute mini-session. Compensation of $4,000 includes time allotted for program development, lesson planning, attending staff orientation prior to the start of the camp and participating in the Sharing Day Closing Celebration.

Instructor Option 2:

Instructors will teach one section of the course they propose two days per week. The course content should be differentiated for a class composed of ninth- through 12th-graders. This course is scheduled to be taught once per day, two days per week, for six weeks. In addition, on June 28, each instructor will lead their class in a 30-minute mini-session. Compensation of $2,000 includes time allotted for program development, lesson planning, attending staff orientation prior to the start of the camp and participating in the Sharing Day Closing Celebration.
