CLAS graduation ceremony

April 30

Noon-4 p.m.

This semester, the college will host its inaugural CLAS graduation. This two-part virtual event will celebrate all CLAS graduates and connect them with the Classroom to Career Hub (C2 Hub).

“Even at graduation time, it is not too late for seniors to get help with their job search, résumé or planning for next steps,” Bessie Nolan, CLAS career specialist. “The C2 Hub offers career-engagement services to students for an entire year after they graduate, and students can get help now by emailing C2Hub@msudenver.edu.”

Faculty and Staff Appreciation and Awards

March 31

11:45 a.m-1 p.m.

Additionally, the college is hosting its first Faculty and Staff Appreciation and Awards ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of CLAS departments, faculty and staff and to announce winners of the newly established CLAS Awards. The awards recognize faculty and staff members who have demonstrated excellence in their roles and contributions to MSU Denver.

“We need to recognize the achievements of our colleagues in a more formal manner. We hope that this will build community and morale after an incredibly difficult year,” said Jason Janke, Ph.D., interim dean, CLAS. “It is important to acknowledge the dedication and devotion to MSU Denver and our students on many levels. Events like this will also help the raise the identity of CLAS and build community within our college. We should take time to reflect upon all we do and be proud of all our accomplishments.”
