MSU Denver sign against Denver cityscape.Metropolitan State University of Denver and Auraria Campus partners on Thursday announced joint plans to return to full on-campus operations for the fall semester.

“With your health and well-being our foremost priority, we are optimistic that we can fully return to in-person learning this fall because of the projected availability of vaccines, our continued mitigation efforts and the resolve of the Roadrunner community,” said President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., in an email to the campus community. “We are making this decision now as we have committed to giving everyone the best certainty we have as early as possible so that we can adequately plan, just as we have throughout the health crisis.”

Inclusive and transparent planning and communications will continue throughout spring and summer, beginning with a virtual town-hall meeting for faculty, staff and student-employees Thursday. The town hall will cover University- and campus-specific health, safety and preparation questions as well as questions related to Gov. Jared Polis’ announcement that student-facing higher-education faculty and staff members have been moved to vaccine prioritization Phase 1B.4.
