Attend WorldDenver’s International Women’s Day
President Davidson to be honored by nonprofit celebrating women in national security.

Janine Davidson, Ph.D., president of Metropolitan State University of Denver, will be recognized by WorldDenver as the nonprofit celebrates International Women’s Day on March 8. This year’s event will celebrate the achievements of women in national security from around the world.
The virtual event will be livestreamed from the Denver Center for Performing Arts from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and is open to the public and free to register. In announcing Davidson as this year’s honoree, WorldDenver said her many accomplishments highlight the impact that women have made globally in defense, security and education.
The event also includes keynote addresses from Ambassador Gina Abercrombie-Winstanley, co-founder of the Leadership Council for Women in National Security, and Lauren Bean Buitta, founder and CEO of Girl Security, as well as a panel on leading women in national security. You can register online and submit a question for the panel in advance.
WorldDenver is an MSU Denver partner that brings international visitors to Denver, providing exchange of culture and expertise across a variety of industries. Previous collaborations with the University have included Advancing Women’s Participation in the Technology Sector, Physical Education in American Schools and Women’s Empowerment Through Sports Journalism.
