The program has a refreshed website and is seeking proposals for its annual conference beginning Feb. 26.

The Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Program has a variety of upcoming events, including the annual conference and workshops for students and faculty. Learn how to get involved and how to nominate a colleague for the Outstanding Mentor for Undergraduate Research Award.
New Undergraduate Research website
The Undergraduate Research and Creative Scholarship Program has a newly updated
website that includes resources for students and faculty mentors. Faculty mentors can visit the website to post their research interests and learn about other ways to get involved.
New combined conference dynamic
This year, the Undergraduate Research Conference: A Symposium of Scholarly Works and Creative Projects and the Student Impact and Innovation Showcase will be held jointly April 23 using an online platform.
Conference registration is now open. Faculty, please encourage your mentees to complete the Intent to Present form. If there are multiple presenters, the presenters can submit jointly on one form. Please help our students celebrate their work by attending the conference and encouraging your students to present or attend. Visit our website for more information.
Faculty mentors are also asked to encourage their mentees to attend student workshops on preparing for the conference.

- Call-for-conference-proposals window: Feb. 26-March 29
- Registration deadline for attendees: April 16
Nominate colleagues for the Outstanding Mentor for Undergraduate Research Award
The honor recognizes faculty or staff members who have impacted students through mentorship on scholarly or creative projects. Please visit our website for more information on the nomination process.
Faculty workshops
This semester, we have three workshops about ways to involve undergraduates in research.
- Learning by doing: Involving Students in Undergraduate Research and Service Learning – Feb. 26, 11 a.m.
- An Introduction to Course-based Undergraduate Research for All Disciplines – March 12, 11 a.m.
- Research, Service and Teaching: Combining Efforts to Maximize Your Tenure and Promotion Portfolio
