MSU Denver is proud to sponsor Su Teatro’s 50th Anniversary productions. This collaboration reflects the University’s commitment to diversity and its designation as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (2030 Strategic Plan Pillar IV). The sponsorship also aligns with MSU Denver’s support for arts programs that enrich the community and build broad, diverse connections and relationships with external stakeholders (2030 Strategic Plan, Pillar III).

Su Teatro’s current production, “El Corrido Del Barrio,” features Yolanda Ortega (who has dedicated 35-plus years of service to MSU Denver and sits on the Community Cabinet) and tells the story of displaced Aurarians. MSU Denver faculty, staff and students are encouraged to attend.
