Cryptocurrency: A New Paradigm in Finance

Gain insight into the emerging wonders of cryptocurrency. Students and faculty and staff members are encouraged to attend a panel discussion with field experts Joshua Finkelma, co-founder and managing partner of BXE Capital; Jeffrey Nowalowski, senior vice president and foreign-exchange specialist for BOK Financial; and Jesse Maniff, payments-system research specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.

The Department of Africana Studies will host the second Umoja Community Conversations Conference, “Contemporary Issues in Africa Amid the Covid-19 Pandemic,” in a virtual format, and all Roadrunners are invited to attend.

The event will feature keynote speaker Ato Kwamena Onoma, Ph.D., head of research programs at the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa in Dakar, Senegal. Onoma is the author of “The Politics of Property Rights Institutions in Africa” and “Anti-Refugee Violence and African Politics.” His current work examines epidemics and internment practices to explore intercommunal relations in Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Ghana, Legon, and a doctorate in Political Science from Northwestern University and has taught at Yale University.

Celebrate diversity and strengthen your advocacy skills by tuning in to this virtual panel discussion. The Department of Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences invites everyone to learn about how to support students on the autism spectrum. The event is sponsored by the MSU Denver Classroom to Career Hub in partnership with the following MSU Denver co-sponsors: the Access Center; Alumni Relations; the Aviation and Aerospace Science Department; the Department of Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences; and Journalism and Media Production.
