Last week, Larry Sampler, chief operating officer and vice president for Administration, highlighted several important events, announcements and employee-engagement opportunities.

Listening Sessions

Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in the final future-focused virtual Listening Session at noon Tuesday to provide feedback and share ideas as the University continues to plan for a Safe Return to Campus and post-Covid-19 operations.

Roadrunners can also share future-focused feedback via the Safe Return to Campus website.

Universitywide Engagement, Leader and Self-Identification Survey

Employees are reminded to complete the Universitywide Engagement, Leader and Self-Identification Survey before Friday. To participate, please check your email for a message from President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., containing a secure survey link.

Vaccine-distribution update

Sampler also highlighted the campus’ vaccine-distribution plan.

When vaccines become available to the Auraria Campus, individuals within the designated priority groups will be notified by CovidCheck Colorado via email to schedule their free vaccination. Metropolitan State University of Denver will continue to follow the state’s priority guidelines for vaccine distribution.

Alternative Work Arrangements Policy

The Alternative Work Arrangements Policy, which is in development through the University Policy Advisory Council, would provide guidance for employees and supervisors on developing alternative work arrangements to encourage a healthy work/life balance while ensuring that the educational and operational needs of the University are met.
