Signature Authority Policy for MSU Denver community review

A proposed Signature Authority Policy, sponsored by the Office of Contracts and Business Services, delegates authority from the MSU Denver Board of Trustees and president to other Metropolitan State University of Denver administrators to enter into contracts on behalf of the University. Roadrunners are encouraged to review the policy and procedures and to share your recommendations by Feb. 12 by visiting www.msudenver.edu/policy and clicking “Comment on a Policy.”

MSU Denver Policy Advisory Council recommends Material Lending Policy to senior leadership

At the Dec. 17 Policy Advisory Council meeting, Shaun Schafer, Ph.D., associate vice president of Curriculum and Policy Development, answered questions and incorporated community recommendations on a proposed policy on lending University equipment to students. Following the meeting, MSU Denver Policy Advisory Council members voted to recommend review of the policy and procedures to senior leadership at an upcoming President’s Cabinet meeting.

Other University policies in the works

• Employee appointment and recruitment
• Protecting children and minors in MSU Denver programs
• Sick leave for part-time employees, including student employees
• Alternative work arrangements, including remote work and flexible schedules

Collaboration with students, staff and faculty continues on these policies and more.
