January President’s Cabinet meeting canceled

Roadrunners are instead invited to tune in to the 2021 presidential inauguration ceremony.

January 18, 2021

Janine Davidson, Ph.D.President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., has canceled Wednesday's meeting of the President’s Cabinet to allow the Metropolitan State University of Denver community to watch the 2021 presidential inauguration ceremony during this time.

At MSU Denver, where students have some of the highest voting rates in the country, students, faculty and staff are encouraged to tune in Wednesday to witness the transfer of presidential power – traditionally one of the hallmarks of our democracy.

Although Colorado does not designate Jan. 20 as a holiday and MSU Denver cannot close campus or cancel classes, Roadrunners are invited to rearrange their schedules as necessary to allow time to reflect on the importance of the day and to view coverage of the event.
