RTD EcoPass update

Employees must schedule an appointment to opt in.

Student waiting on RTD LightRail platform; train in background.An agreement has been reached with the Regional Transportation District to offer a spring-semester EcoPass to faculty and staff members of the Auraria Higher Education Center, Metropolitan State University of Denver, Community College of Denver and the University of Colorado Denver. Employees must schedule an appointment to opt in for the EcoPass. The rate of the pass will be prorated based on the employee’s opt-in date. Employees must pay for their EcoPass upon opting in. Employees may choose to pay the full price of $115 or make three installment payments with a credit card.

Purchase dates and rates

  • Friday-Feb. 28: $115
  • March 1-31: $92
  • April 1-30: $69
  • May 1-31: $46
  • June 1-30: $23

Please call 303-556-2003 to schedule an appointment to opt in at the Parking and Transportation Services Office (777 Lawrence Way, in the 7th Street Garage). Appointments will be available beginning Jan. 15 and are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Employees may also download the enrollment form and email it to ahec_parking@ahec.edu. The employee will receive a confirmation email prompting them to call 303-556-2003 to schedule an appointment.

  • As a result of this new RTD pilot program, all employees must have a new photo taken and a new EcoPass issued at the time of purchase. 
  • The spring-semester EcoPass is valid through June 30. 
  • There is no refund option after purchase.
