Candidate interviews for associate vice president for Enrollment Management scheduled for week of Dec. 9.

The search for Metropolitan State University of Denver’s new associate vice president for Enrollment Management is nearing completion, and you’re invited to meet the candidates.

Reporting to the vice president for Student Affairs, the AVP EM is MSU Denver's chief enrollment officer and a strategic leader, advising and recommending to senior leadership initiatives to guide revenue and enrollment goals.

The AVP EM is a highly visible leader, initiating internal and external partnerships to ensure that MSU Denver remains the destination of choice for Coloradans. The successful AVP EM demonstrates proficiency in four required competency areas: enrollment strategy, resource management, lateral leadership to other branches and faculty, and external relations.

“MSU Denver’s business model is based heavily on enrollment,” said Will Simpkins, Ed.D, vice president for Student Affairs. “From the type of academic programs we launch to the modality of instruction and the funding we have available to support new initiatives, enrollment is the key resource we as a University have to thrive in the future. The AVP must be inclusive, collaborative and engaged in our internal shared governance and externally spreading the word about MSU Denver.”

Open forums are tentatively scheduled for the following dates and times:

• Dec. 9, 11 a.m.
• Dec. 10, 3 p.m.
• Dec. 11, 2 p.m.
• Dec. 12, 3 p.m.

“Thanks to our committee who represent faculty, Student Affairs, Enrollment Management and communications, we have identified strong candidates capable of solidifying the momentum built by our Admissions, Financial Aid, Transfer, Registrar, Orientation, testing and enrollment-data colleagues to build seamless and equitable pathways into MSU Denver,” said Matt Griswold, Ed.D., associate vice president of Online Learning and search-committee chair.
