Help students dress for success

JCPenney partnership provides MSU Denver students and alumni with access to affordable professional attire.

Once again, the Metropolitan State University of Denver Classroom to Career Hub and Office of Alumni Relations, as well as the University of Colorado Denver, are teaming up with the J.C. Penney Co. to help students polish their professional image at the JCPenney Suit-Up Event.  

On Oct. 20, the JCPenney store at Northfield/Stapleton will stay open from 6:30-9:30 p.m. for MSU Denver students and alumni to shop and receive up to 60% off their purchase of professional attire. Students must bring their MSU Denver ID to receive the discount.

To further defray the cost of dressing for success, there will be several opportunities before and during the event for Roadrunners to win $25 JCPenney gift cards. MSU Denver faculty and staff can help reach the goal of raising $3,000 to purchase those gift cards by donating to the MSU Denver Foundation.

Campus departments are encouraged to purchase JCPenney gift cards to support students attending this event. Departments may coordinate their own gift-card distribution or receive assistance from the event organizers. If your department purchases gift cards, please report the quantity to Bridgette Coble, director, Career Services.
