Along with 2,406 new students receiving a copy of the book at orientation, 22 staff and 31 faculty members have requested a copy of the book, with nine faculty members adopting the book for their fall courses.

So often we get asked about the “1 Project” part of 1 Book/1 Project/2 Transform – a key component to this program. As faculty begin integrating the book into their fall courses, some using the Reading and Learning Guide, students have the opportunity to work on projects directly related to themes from “We Rise.” Roadways, known for our “yes, and” attitude, supports this by offering numerous events throughout the semester. These events range including service projects and book discussions (led by Metropolitan State University of Denver leadership) and end with the main events – a keynote and hip-hop concert with Martinez. Mark your calendars and please share these events with the students you engage with.
