The Metropolitan State University of Denver College of Business and several local partners invite Roadrunners to explore entrepreneurship through Launch Denver — and the application has been extended to Sept. 3 so there's still time to apply.
The business training program supports emerging entrepreneurs through networking opportunities, mentorship and microfinancing. Members of the University community can take advantage of special early application.
“We want to provide (MSU Denver) faculty, staff, students and alumni the first opportunity to be in the program before we open it up to the Denver business community at large,” said Lynn Hoffman, Ph.D., professor, management. “The only requirement is that applicants have already started a business and need help.”
Hoffman, who is also director for entrepreneurship programs, added that entrepreneurs on the verge of launching a new venture may be considered for inclusion in Launch Denver, but business ideas must be fully developed to be considered. The Denver program is modeled on LaunchRALEIGH, and local organizers hope to attract 20 participants.
The application deadline has been extended to Sept. 3; classes begin Sept. 25. To apply, or get more information, contact Hoffman at dhoffm20@msudenver.edu.
The College of Business’ Launch Denver partners include the City of Denver, the Westminster 7:10 Rotary Club, the Golden Rotary Club and the Denver Rotary Club.
