Rooted in practical application and delivered by vetted experts, development topics are needs-driven and based on research from practitioners in the field. Resources include hundreds of online training modules, an extensive library of articles and numerous books, assessments and white papers. Employees are invited to visit Learning Nook 2.0 on the new MSU Denver Learning and Development SharePoint site to access Academic Impressions, explore highlights and view instructions for logging in.  

Additionally, Academic Impressions recently released The Skills Future Higher-Ed Leaders Need to Succeed. In the report, authors Amit Mrig, president and CEO of Academic Impressions, and Patrick Sanaghan, president of the Sanaghan Group, acknowledge the complex challenges facing higher education. They also identify five critical skill sets leaders will need as higher ed moves into the future

  1. Anticipatory thinking
  2. Risk tolerance and support for creativity and innovation
  3. Developing effective conveners/brokers/facilitators
  4. Developing courageous decision-makers
  5. Fostering resilience and the ability to “bounce forward” after a crisis or setback
