Auraria Campus faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends are invited to join the LGBTQ Student Resource Center for the 2019 Denver Pride Parade on June 16. The annual event regularly draws nearly 350,000 attendees, all gathered to advance the rights of our LGBTQ community members.
The tri-institutional LGBTQ Student Resource Center, the oldest LGBTQ student center in the state, invites all Roadrunners, Lynx, Cityhawks and friends to join in the festivities. As this year is the 50th anniversary of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, which marked a significant turning point in the fight for LGBTQ rights and visibility, the event will be bigger and better than ever.
If you are interested in marching in the Pride Parade and celebrating with the LGBTQ Student Resource Center, please RSVP with your name, email and phone number to Steve Willich, director of the LGBTQ Student Resource Center, at swillich@msudenver.edu by June 13, and stay tuned for more details.
