The Metropolitan State University of Denver faculty brain trust reaches almost every corner of the academic spectrum, and we are always proud to see Roadrunners sharing their knowledge. Each month, the Early Bird highlights a few faculty members who have served as subject-matter experts on timely news topics – providing dynamic perspectives on critical issues.

Here’s a sampling from May:

Rebecca Cottrell, lecturer of Spanish, was interviewed by Education Dive on May 28 about the employment benefits of learning to speak more than one language.

Helene Ver Eecke, associate professor of biology, interviewed with Denver7 on May 24 about the germs found on rentable scooters.

Alex Padilla, associate professor of economics, interviewed with the Colorado Sun on May 21 about how Colorado companies are finding workarounds to deal with tariffs the United States has imposed as a result of a trade war with China.
