Vicente Fox to visit campus June 13

The former president of Mexico will speak about a partnership with MSU Denver’s Health Institute.

Vicente FoxOn June 13, former President of Mexico Vicente Fox and his wife, Marta Fox, will visit Metropolitan State University of Denver to discuss a valuable University partnership and culturally responsive health services.

In a fireside chat moderated by President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., the Foxes will speak on the relationship between the MSU Denver Health Institute and Centro de Rehabilitacio?n Integral de San Miguel de Allende (CRISMA), an organization founded by the Foxes in 2017 to provide outpatient rehabilitation services to families in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.

The event will also include time for audience questions. Attendees can submit questions in advance by emailing earlybirdeditor@msudenver.edu. Questions will be accepted until 5 p.m. on June 10.

In January 2020, CRISMA will begin welcoming study-abroad cohorts of MSU Denver Health Institute faculty and students in an information and learning exchange focused on rehabilitation and public-health education and promotion. Marcia Walsh-Aziz, Ph.D., assistant professor, Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences, will lead the first cohort together with Karina Benabe, clinical field faculty, Social Work, and Annie Butler, department chair, Human Services and Counseling.
