Lavender Graduation is a celebration of the accomplishment of graduation, honoring the journey and the additional obstacles that our LGBTQIA+ students have overcome through their college and university experiences. Find more information on the center’s Facebook page.
African and African American Graduation Celebration

The African and African American Graduation Celebration is an annual tradition sponsored by Metropolitan State University of Denver’s African American Affairs Council that encourages graduates to reflect on their experiences at MSU Denver by realizing that they have the skills, knowledge, resources and strength to be successful with their new endeavors. Transfer Student Graduation Celebration

This event celebrates students who transferred into MSU Denver. Those students graduating this May can stop by to get a free graduation cord and celebrate the incredible accomplishment of graduation. Family and friends are welcome.

Native American Graduation Ceremony

The Metropolitan State University of Denver Native American Graduation Ceremony honors our Native American graduates, providing a culturally responsive graduation experience that includes a keynote speaker, dinner, cultural entertainment and recognition of the graduates and their families. Master of Social Work Program Pinning and Hooding Ceremony

Veterans Graduation Ceremony

Sponsored by the Metropolitan State University of Denver Office of Veteran and Military Student Services, the celebration honors our veteran and service-member students’ accomplishments and service. During the ceremony, graduates will be presented with an official MSU Denver Challenge Coin Commencement Medallion. College of Business Graduate Programs Hooding Ceremony

MSU Denver’s College of Business Graduate Programs office and the Department of Accounting are co-hosting the Spring 2019 Hooding Ceremony for Master of Business Administration and Master of Professional Accountancy programs. Program leadership, faculty and staff will recognize graduates over appetizers before explaining the honored tradition of hooding and calling up each student to receive their hood.
