Play golf. Raise money for students.

12th Annual School of Hospitality, Events and Tourism charity event is an ace in the hole for Roadrunners.

It’s about how much two semesters of in-state tuition costs for the average Metropolitan State University of Denver student.

It’s also worth noting there is no “average Metropolitan State University of Denver student.”

Carrie Savage is evidence of that. After 12 years of working, the event-management senior has returned to get her baccalaureate degree, crediting MSU Denver’s “flexibility of options to accommodate (her) schedule” and advance in the field she was already in.

“I love this program,” Savage said.

It’s only fitting, then, that she’s helping to coordinate the 12th Annual School of Hospitality, Events and Tourism Golf Tournament to raise $7,500 for students to attend industry conferences and participate in special events and other opportunities related to their field of study.

But they need your help.

Taking place May 10 at Arrowhead Golf Course, the event has multiple levels of participation and sponsorship available. And with a wide range of prizes available, you won’t want to miss out.

Regardless of your score, though, there’s one clear winner: MSU Denver HEaT students.

“More than a fundraiser, it’s a fantastic networking opportunity for students who are participating,” said Savage. “It’s great to come out and play while supporting the school.”
