New SGA officers announced

Students appoint new leadership, approve RTD referendum and tech fee.

Students walking on Auraria Campus with trees in bloom.Congratulations to the newly elected officers of the Metropolitan State University of Denver Student Government Assembly. Students cast their votes this month, and new student leaders were officially announced Friday.

2019-20 Student Government Assembly Officers

Student Advisory Committee to the Auraria Board: Maly Mendieta, Sitina Sado
Senators: Kasra Alavi, Daniel Dudley, Sarah Balijahe, Haleigh Vaughn, Hannah Vaughn

A referendum to raise the per-semester RTD CollegePass price to $125 passed with 93% of the vote (3,013 to 241). Sixty percent of Roadrunners (743 to 490) also approved a Student Technology Fee to fund the ongoing operation of student-facing technology resources and future-facing solutions that support the University’s academic mission.
