Important news on required trainings

Online courses help employees build a welcoming, respectful and accessible environment for all.

Metropolitan State University of Denver is committed to maintaining environments that are welcoming, respectful and accessible for students, staff, faculty, visitors, vendors, contractors and others. Everyone who studies, works, recreates or attends public events on our campuses — or participates in a University program or activity — should be able to do so free from discrimination, harassment, intimidation or bullying. Not only is this consistent with University policies and relevant state and federal law, it’s also a value we work to instill in all Roadrunners.

To advance this goal, MSU Denver has partnered with one of the leaders in the risk-management industry, EverFi, to provide online training. 

All MSU Denver employees are required to take the following online trainings every two years:

• Accommodating Disabilities
• Harassment and Discrimination Prevention
• Bullying in the Workplace

All employees also must take the following trainings every year, as required by Colorado state law:

• Check Point: Data Security and Privacy

All current employees, as of May 1, must take these training by Oct. 1.  All new employees hired after May 1 must complete these training courses within 30 days of being hired.  

As a University community, our goal must be to foster an environment that recognizes the worth and potential of every individual, conveys respect for all and ensures each person’s safety and dignity. Our institution prohibits all forms of harassment and discrimination. We believe that education is the most effective way to create a harassment-free and welcoming campus.
