We are taking the pulse of MSU Denver

Survey helps leadership understand which initiatives, programs and policies are working well and what could be improved.

Beginning next week, Metropolitan State University of Denver will conduct a random-sample survey of employees to help measure progress made toward our University goals. These smaller surveys are referred to as “pulse” surveys, and you can think of them as taking the pulse of MSU Denver’s campus climate. Watch for an email from ModernThink on March 11 to see if you are in the random sample of employees invited to participate. 

All employees invited to participate through the random sampling process are highly encouraged to participate. A high response rate helps ensure accurate results and demonstrates the commitment of our workforce.

MSU Denver continues to work with ModernThink, an external organization that specializes in surveys of employees at higher-education institutions, to implement our surveys. The firm conducts the “Great Colleges to Work For” survey, the results of which are posted in the Chronicle of Higher Education. ModernThink will send a link to the survey and will manage all data collection to ensure anonymity of responses. MSU Denver will not have access to individual responses and receives results only in aggregate form.

The results of the MSU Denver pulse survey will be factored into the overall scoring process that will ultimately determine the institutions recognized in the “Great Colleges to Work For” program. After the Chronicle of Higher Education publishes the findings this summer, our institution will receive a report that summarizes responses to the survey questions. These results will be shared with the University community and will help guide our efforts to improve our working environment for all employees.
