The Latino/a Faculty and Staff Association and the African American Affairs Council have collaborated to host an event for all faculty and staff of color at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The intent of this first-ever Faculty and Staff of Color Social is to help faculty and staff of color meet colleagues in other corners of the campus and continue building community. If you hold an identity other than Latino/a or African/African American, there will be an opportunity and support to create other identity affinity groups.
“To my knowledge, an event like this has never happened before, but it is so important to bring faculty and staff members of color together,” said Eric Silva, LFSA president and TRIO SSS Scholar advisor.
The event will be held March 21 from 5-7 p.m. at the Springhill Suites. Snacks will be provided, and a cash bar is available.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Silva at esilva10@msudenver.edu or Amber Mozet, AAAC member, at amozet1@msudenver.edu.
