February 20, 2019
Beginning next month, biweekly training sessions on the Enterprise Data Warehouse system will allow campus users to access more than 200 existing reports and dashboards — and to develop new reports.
Rishab Marwaha, senior EDW architect, said the Enterprise Data Warehouse and Reporting team has been working for more than two years on a system that provides a variety of operational reports from Banner. Beginning in March, biweekly training sessions will be available the first Tuesday and third Thursday of every month for new and existing users that explain how to log into the system and how to access specific data.
All training, available in structured and unstructured formats, will be held in Administration Building 462. Structured sessions, held from 10 a.m.-noon will walk users through the EDW environment to run reports by subject area. Unstructured sessions, held from 1-4 p.m., will provide one-on-one individual training with the user. To provide the best outcomes, sessions are limited to 10 participants. Training reservation requests should be sent to edwreports@msudenver.edu or Marwaha at rmarwaha@msudenver.edu.
More than 300 users have access to the EDW system, including but not limited to deans, assistant deans, data/fiscal managers and department chairs, as well as offices such as the Registrar, Enrollment Management, Financial Aid, Finance and Human Resources. New users interested in gaining access are welcome to reach out to the team as well.
