We’re now two weeks into 2019, and it might already be time to revisit those New Year’s resolutions. If healthy eating, exercise or carving out brain breaks made it to your list, here are some fun and easy ways to stay on track throughout your workday.
Make Fridays fun days …
Escape the office, and join your colleagues for Friday Funday events at noon on the West Court in the PE Building (PE104W). No experience or skill is necessary, only enthusiasm. Simply take a break to enjoy time with fellow Roadrunners from across the campus over some friendly competition. There are even prizes for the winners!

… and Mondays musical.
Ever feel like you need a weekend to recover from your weekend? When Monday hits, treat yourself to a midafternoon screen break and check out Mondays at MSU Denver. This weekly series features students, staff and guest artists performing chamber music, classical selections, jazz, gamelan, mariachi and more.
The weekly recitals begin at 2 p.m. in the King Center and are free and open to the public. As such, you might want to nab your seat early. Charla Bevan-Jones, music events manager, said the events usually draw 200 attendees or more — including students, friends, family members and community members.
“Mondays at MSU Denver events give our students performance experience in an exceptional hall with wonderful accompanists and fellow players,” Bevan-Jones said. “The Department of Music is a tight-knit community in and of itself. The students get to share their growth and talents with each other, as well as see and hear their mentors and faculty members perform.”
Don’t skip the most important meal of the day.
The Auraria Campus stretches across 150 acres and is full of hidden treasures, including many delicious places to eat. If you have yet to explore beyond Starbucks and McDonald’s, take a look at these campus eateries and their standout breakfast dishes. There are lots of healthy options as well.
Pursue health all semester long.
