Celebrate National First Generation College Student Day

Today, recognize the 49.1 percent of Roadrunners who identify as the first person in their family to go to college.

Woman in first-gen t shirtMetropolitan State University of Denver faculty, staff and students are invited to join TRIO Student Support Services and First-Gen Initiatives today in celebrating National First Generation College Student Day. The celebration will take place today in the second-floor mezzanine of the Jordan Student Success Building from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Faculty and staff are welcome to stop by and are encouraged to help spread the word among students. The informal drop-in event will include cake, “I’m First-Gen Too” T-shirts for students, a photo booth and campus resources.
