MSU Denver stands against violence and hate

Faculty, staff and students are invited to gather today at 12:30 p.m. to reflect on recent tragedies.

Following the horrific tragedies in Pittsburgh and Jeffersontown, Kentucky, MSU Denver, along with our partners at the Community College of Denver, the University of Colorado Denver and the Auraria Higher Education Center, is hosting a gathering to denounce anti-Semitism and hate, and to offer a space to heal and connect.

We invite you to join us today from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Emmanuel Gallery (adjacent to the library). Rabbi Emily Hyatt from Temple Emanuel will speak. All members of the University and campus community, of all faiths, are welcome and invited to attend.

As a reminder, the MSU Denver Counseling Center is available for any students needing to process feelings and stress in a confidential and supportive space – at no additional cost. If you know a student who is struggling, please contact the CARE Team for support. Faculty and staff may be seen on a one-session consultation/referral basis. After-hours mental-health support is also available to faculty, staff and students at 303-615-9911.
