Be a part of the University’s first undergraduate-research journal

The new Faculty Learning Committee, Making “the Rowdy Scholar” a Reality at MSU Denver, needs your energy and insight.

Undergraduate research is a high-impact practice with numerous benefits for students. It enhances academic skills, engages students in their field, positions them as experts, supports personal and social development, stimulates inquiry, promotes integration and application of knowledge, and allows students to practice presenting research — which are all fantastic approaches to increasing student retention and success.

Metropolitan State University of Denver is shining a spotlight on the high-quality undergraduate research underway across campus with the development of a new Faculty Learning Committee, Making “the Rowdy Scholar” a Reality at MSU Denver. The committee will explore the formation of a new undergraduate-research journal, The Rowdy Scholar.

If you’re passionate about showcasing undergraduate research, the FLC invites you to be a part of the conversation. The FLC seeks representatives from diverse disciplines, and all faculty are invited to attend the Nov. 16 meeting for more information. Interested individuals are encouraged to RSVP to rowdyscholar@msudenver.edu no later than Nov. 12.
